[Drama Recap] Masked Prosecutor : Episodes 1 & 2

In the beginning of 1st episode of the "Masked Prosecutor" drama series, we see that Dae Chul (played by Joo Sang-wook) and Yoo Min Hee (played by Kim Sun Ah) are childhood friends.

Dae Chul has fallen for Min Hee from the very first time. He was raised in an orphanage. Later his long lost father came to pick him up and demanded him to be a prosecutor.

Dae Chul was supposed to become a prosecutor although he didn't do well with his study. Min Hee promised to Dae Chul  that she would date him he could become one in the future and wished him luck.

Years later, Dae Chul now has become one of the most famous prosecutors and Min Hee is the team leader of the violent crime division. Min Hee is shocked to discover about Dae Chul, her childhood friend, has become a prosecutor as well as his "easy" manner. That day, he let the suspicious man whom they are investigating be free easily. Then we find out that Dae Chul goes after that man, disguised with a mask, beats and threatens the bad guy to confess everything to the police. That guy finally surrenders.


Min Hee later receives a text message with the hint about where to find the bad guy who was let go freely. At the end of the message she sees four hearts which are just ridiculous enough :)

Dae Chul mistakes Madam Kang to be his deceased mother. In the meantime, Min Hee reveals something about her past that made her become the police. She wants to catch the guy who harmed her mother.

In the second episode of the drama, Dae Chul is received another murder case and again disguises himself with a mask to solve it. But at the crime scene, it is Dae Chul with a mask appearing on the CCTV. Dae Chul is trying to protect himself from being suspected but misunderstood and the case is transferred to prosecutor Kang Hyun Woong (Madam Kang's son, played by Eom Gi Jun) from Seoul central district prosecutor office. The truth behind this is that Hyun Woong's father wants him to cover up this murder case for it is related to several important people.

Later Dae Chul has to face his father about the mask he's wearing. Dae Chul says that he has to wear it because it helps him to find (and beat) evidences/murderers more easily. As a man without money or special background, he cannot climb to high position to make his father's revenge dream come true if he cannot solve the hardest investigation cases. He promises to his dad that he will wear this mask and complete the revenge plan no matter what happens.

Min Hee watches the CCTV and sees Dae Chul is wearing a mask. She wonders about his true identity.

At the end of the 2nd episode, a body wearing the red mask floating on the water is discovered.
