Oh Cho Rim (Shin Se Kyung) crumples the letter of Dr. Chun Baek Kyung
(Song Jong Ho) in haste, "I'm sorry, chef. I was so nervous that I was
reading the script again." She has a close shave making up a good
reason.
Cho Rim called Mu Gak to ask about the letter hears that he cannot work
as the detective of Crime squad. They both wonder why Yeum Mi keeps him
from the investigating all of a sudden.
Cho Rim pays Oh Jae Pyo (Jeong In Ki) to ask about the past.
"You're right. Your real name is Choi Eun Sul. I adopted you when you
had a car accident three years ago. I was a detective of the case at
that time. You reminded me my daughter found dead when she was five
years old." he sheds tears. But he doesn't tell her that she is the
witness of the barcode case and the daughter of the victim.
Mu Gak confirms the case file while Detective Ki (Jo Hee Bong) and Yeh
(Choi Tae Joon) are putz around to earn time with Yeum Mi. He is
surprised at the fact that Cho Rim is the witness and the daughter of
the murdered diver couple.
Yeum Mi visits the witness' house to ask her intention whether she wants
to search her lost memories, but she refuses the offer stating that she
likes things just the way she is.
Mu Gak runs into Gwon Jae Hee (Nam Goong Min) on the way to the place
where Oh Jae Pyo hides out. The detective tries to plow around him whom
meets in a strange place. Mu Gak spotting Jas Hee as a suspicious
character of the murder case senses that the chef is spying on his
cellphone as he takes his mobile phone out of his pocket at the same
time when he gets a phone call.
Mu Gak arrived at the restaurant hears that Cho Rim's father has already
left. At the moment, the former detective gets in the car of the chef.
Mu Gak treated Detective Ki big calls him right at the front and he
gives the criminal tapping the telephone a strict warning that he will
surely catch the killer. Gwon Jae Hee is listening to the warning in a
parking lot with a faint smile.
"Do you wanna know who I am? I am an older brother of Choi Eun Sul you
killed in the Baengnok Hospital in Jeju-do. I won't stop until you die."
Mu Gak says.
The chef's smile dies and the look in his face hardens.
Cho Rim visited the police station to meet Mu Gak who didn't show up for
the appointment happens to hear detectives' conversation about the
murdered Choi Eul Sul with the same name of her.
The next day Mu Gak is waiting for Cho Rim in front of her house to keep
the anniversary of his birth. The couple serve an abundant meal and
celebrate his birthday. Cho Rim says that she likes to get him home
because today is his special day. When they approach his home, she says
that she wants to break up with his boyfriend. He is absolutely
befuddled why her attitude suddenly turns cold and she weeps buckets
alone when she gets home.
"I will accept your offer. I heard everything. I will try to remember
what happened." Cho Rim says blaming herself for the other Choi Eun
Sul's unlucky death. Yeom Mi comforts her saying nobody cannot blame her
for that. The girl asks the profiler to let Mu Gak work for the team
again.
"I think chef Gwon as a prime suspect. Please quit work from the
restaurant. It can be dangerous." Yeom Mi Says. But she speaks strongly
to her she will eye him because she is the only person who can see his
behavior close up.
Mu Gak joins the team again thanks to Cho Rim.
Gwon Jae Hee has a doubt how Cho Rim's father knows there were another
unknown serial murder case. He gives Oh Jae Pyo 30 million won for an
activity of barcode victims's family. Jae Pyo opens his mind and tells
him about the witness and his daughter. The chef recalls the first
victim's diary and he has conviction that he is the ex-husband of
her. The killer who just pretends to drink coffee stares at the former
detective drinking it with a smile at the corner of his mouth.
Cho Rim is worries about her father because she cannot reach him by the
telephone, so Yeom Mi promises to search for him. The female detective
came back to the police station states a fact just as it is that Cho Rim
knows everything and the victim's brother hurries out the room to
follow the girl he loves.
Cho Rim got a text message from his father gets a cap for the chef's
house. The detectives traced his location also head for the scene.
As the door is open, Cho Rim walks in calling her father up. Gwon Jae
Hee lurks in the shadows holding the ringing phone. She follows the
sound and someone grips her by the shoulder behind the her. Suddenly
fearful, Cho Rim turns around to look behind her.
