[Drama Recap] Ex-Girlfriend Club: Episode 4

Jang Hwa Young (Lee Yoon Ji) threatens to retrieve the investment Bang Myung Soo (Byun Yo Han) and Kim Soo Jin (Song Ji Hyo) who pulled the wool over ex-girlfriends' eyes. The writer and producer are quite at a loss what to do. 

Hwa Young, Na Ji Ah (Jang Ji Eun), and Lara (Ryu Hwa Young) expect Myung Soo back to the restaurant. They lay the blame at the door of Soo Jin who have changed him. 

Myung Soo and Soo Jin decide to beg for Hwa Young's mercy. When they check if she is at the office, a tall and handsome man asks whether the director of the headquarters Cha Young Jae in. Soo Jin stares at him as if she knows him. 

Young Jae introduce a film director Jo Geon (Do Sang Woo) to them. Soo Jin feels highly honored to meet him face to face, but he marks rude remarks to the big fan of him. Myung Soo looks displeased with the arrogant young man. 

Young Jae asks him to direct the film, but he came back to Korea to dissuade his engagement. At the moment, Hwa Young walks in and is surprised at the ex-boyfriend sitting there with the current boyfriend. Soo Jin grasps the situation. 

In a lady's room, Soo Jin asks, "Let's forget everything that happened between us. I will keep your secret instead. You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. O.K?" 

Hwa Young is obliged to seal the promise with a handshake. They act so friendly all of a sudden in front of Young Jae and his close friend, but Jo Geon looks askance at Hwa Young saying his friend has a bad taste in women. 

Haw Young asks about Geon's personality and Soo Jin sets her at ease saying that he's not going to direct the film. The next day, Soo Jin and Song Eun Hye (Kang Soo Jin) do a thorough cleaning of the office waiting the director. Eun Hye leaves a plaque which Soo Jin was awarded in eyeshot of him. When she is asking the writer not to speak all about the secret, the director comes into the office. 

Jo Geon says, "I don't like romance and it is the worst." to the producer ask him about the script.

"Why didn't you come to the awards? I grabbed other judges by the collar to give you the prize. Don't you have any confidence in your works? Don't you get it? I love the film." he jumps on her.

Myung Soo walks Ji Ah home after finishing their daily work. She looks down outside expecting him still there. She smiles bitterly because there is nobody.

Meanwhile, Myung Soo hesitates to ring the doorbell. He is only lost in deep thinking sitting at her doorstep for a while.

Lara pleads with Hwa Young for her to meet the director to be cast in the movie. Hwa Young gives an outright denial, but they meet Jo Geon and Soo Jin stopped by the coffee shop by chance. She introduces Lara as her high school friend to the director in the confusion of the moment. He asks them out to lunch and the actress brings him to Ji Ah's restaurant.   

"You look like a cat!" he has his beady eyes on Ji Ah.

"And you look like a fox." he adds staring at Lara.

Soo Jin changes the subject with embarrassment.

The door is open and everybody watch the gate. Myung Soo is confounded at the sight of the director with the ladies. Hwa Young pushes Soo Jin with a sudden jerk towards Myung Soo to stop his doubt and she is held in his bosom. They pretend that they are together to escape from the situation.
