[Drama Recap] Producer: Episode 9

In the episode 8, Seung-chan planned meet Ye-jin for a movie when he got a call from Cindy saying that she was in front of his apartment. With two women waiting for him on a rainy evening, he is to choose to the movies with Ye-jin, or go home to meet Cindy. But Seung-chan has arrived at the movie theater finally, to keep his date with Ye-jin though they can’t see the movie.

Cindy looks up and sees Joon-mo standing over her with an umbrella, he offers her a hand and take her inside so that she doesn’t freeze to death. 

 

Cindy tells Joon-mo “ my sincerity seems like an act.” and wonders if it’s true because she can’t really tell the difference anymore, and she guesses that Joon-mo can see exactly what she’ll be doing in ten years. Joon-mo remembers a girl from five years ago, a singer on a show he was producing, before Cindy. Joon-mo told her to fight against CEO Byun and just leave, that he will take responsibility for her.

Ye-jin and Seung-chan arrive together, but Cindy calls her manager to pick her up. Joon-mo tells Seung-chan to follow her outside and wait until her manager arrives.

Seung-chan joins Cindy out in the rain and apologizes if what he said to her at the last shoot but Cindy is sad  for his crush on Ye-jin,

Cindy meets a new trainee at her agency, realizes that this girl will replace her soon.

Joon-mo  and others watch TV, they’re surprised to see Cindy on another variety show, and running with her sprained ankle. Joon-mo knows that this is all CEO Byun’s tactics, like she did with singer Yuna years ago.

Joon-mo promises that he’ll take responsibility for Yuna but it ended up going unfulfilled.

Joon-mo arrives at Ye Jin's new apartment and surprised  Seung-chan by telling Ye Jin “What do I need to know the lock code for? It’s always my birthday or yours.”

Cindy meets the trainee at the station and tells her to get out. CEO Byun plans to introduce her new singer to Ye-jin.

 

At the end of the show, Cindy is announced the winner, she takes the micro and starts giving a long thank you speech for her group members, her passed away parents, for Ye-jin, Joon-mo. Then Cindy makes eye contact with Seung-chan and she says to the person who held up an umbrella when she was standing alone in the rain, this is for Seung-chan.
