[Drama Recap] Masked Prosecutor: Episode 7

On June 10th, the production team of KBS 2TV's Wednesday & Thursday drama, "Masked Prosecutor" revealed still images featuring the sweet and friendly presence of Joo Sang-wook and Kim Seon-ah together.

The revealed photos show the duo working hard at preparing for the drama day and night on the set. In the still image showing the court scene, the two are looking into a script together and studying each scene sincerely.

At this moment, Yoo Min-hee (Kim Seon-ah) , who was informed by Pi Seong-ho (Hong Seok-cheon), rushed to the spot and could stop Ha Dae-cheol. And Ha Dae-cheol ran away. Another photo shows the two filming on the set late at night. Joo Sang-wook and Kim Seon-ah posed as if they were falling asleep or made a V sign with fingers towards camera. It seems their playful and cute act brightened up the vibe on the set. The production team of "Masked Prosecutor" said, "The filming has been going on at various locations indoors and outdoors. Despite the tight filming schedule, Joo Sang-wook and Kim Seon-ah always make sure to keep things happy around on the filming set. We are hoping for much support for the drama".

Ha Dae-cheol (Joo Sang-wook) attacked Jo Sang-taek (Jeon Kwang-ryeol), who had cornered his father Jeong Do-seong (Jeong Do-seong) to death. On this day, Ha Dae-cheol happened to drink with Kang Hyeon-woong (Eom Gi-joon) and Jo Sang-taek (Jeon Kwang-ryeol). Jo Sang-taek showed off to Ha Dae-cheol about one of his successful cases from the old days. Ha Dae-cheol's father Jeong Do-seong was one of the victims affected by his unfair handling of the case. Ha Dae-cheol in mask later attacked Jo Sang-taek. Jo Sang-taek said, "A coward hiding behind the mask, you're trying to kill me? No, you can't ".

The web of corruption and lies that Dae-cheol and Min-hee are fighting grows wider by the episode. This was quite the exciting hour as Dae-cheol discovers how deeply his past and his father's past ties into the current landscape of abuse of power, and Min-hee suspects him to be the Masked Vigilante. There's also a bit of romantic interest budding on her part. Nothing says excitement like a sprinkle of love a dash of murder. What intrigues me most about Dae-cheol is that he's not just leading a double life, he's actually leading a triple life. In front of the shrewd Min-hee, he pretends to be a sycophant. In front of others, he holds a similar nonchalant attitude, but his drive is more visible. Then, of course, there is his life as the Masked Vigilante, the life that gives him the power that he feels he lacks as a prosecutor. He's just a wonderful blend of pained hero and goofball in all three of these rolls. Around Min-hee he is hysterical, but soon that will change as she learns that the case they are working on means more to him than a notch in his belt.
