[Drama Recap] Mask: Episode 4

Choi Min Woo (Ju Ji Hoon) tells Byun Ji Sook (Soo Ae) the rules for the marriage life letting her sleep on the sofa and he stresses again that they had a contractual marriage for mutual profit. 

Ji Sook's father-in-law lets the daughter-in-law work in the family gallery where her mother-in-law and sister-in-law run together. Choi Mi Yeon (Yoo In Young) frightens her saying about her living together without being legally married in France and another guy who had gone too far with her before the marriage and Ji Sook is disconcerted by the hostile manner.        

Byun Ji Hyuk (Hoya) starts to work in the vicious lender's office to pay the father's debt. He bumps into Min Seok Hoon (Yeon Jung Hoon)'s personal secretary in front of the office and looks at him dubiously. 

Ji Sook goes shopping at the department store where she had worked with an important customer for the chaebol family. Seok Hoo is worried and follows on. He watches the situation and finds the necklace which he offered to his ex-mistress hanging around her neck.   

The dead woman's mother who still hasn't recovered gets out in the air alone and doesn't come home as morning downed. Ji Sook visits her parents's house to deliver a birthday present for the mother and happens to discover her mother had disappeared and asks Seok Hoon to find her. 

Mi Yeon has her suspicions the husband has an affair with Seo Eun Ha (Soo Ae) and he talks his way out of it. Min Woo looks at the wife sleeping on the couch sobbing.    

The next day, Seok Hoon snatches her necklace from Ji Sook's neck because it brings his mind back to Eun Ha. And he answers nonchalantly that her mother has been found healthy, without the slightest change of expression, but she tells he is faking it. She slaps him in the face and drives herself at tremendous speed to find her prior to a critical business for her husband. Min Woo catches up with her and Seok Hoon also follows the cars. 

Seok Hoon is in a car accident in hot pursuit of her. She picks up his mobile phone and dials 911 and leaves the injured man with the damaged car.

Ji Sook looks in every nook and cranny near her former house, but cannot find her mother. When she is totally stunned on the street, Min Woo saves her life just before she is knocked down by the car of Seok Hoon's man who was told to hit her.

The couple roll around on the ground and Ji Sook realizes where the mother is thanks to flower petals are floating about in the wind. She asks the husband for help saying she will do whatever he wants her to do. 

Ji Sook arrived at a place for the family trees finds the mother lying alone under the trees. She weeps holding her mother in her bosom and the old lady opens her eyes and smiles faintly looking at the daughter.

Min Woo walked after her looks at them in the distance. His feelings for them seem to be complex and hard to pin down.
