[Drama Recap] My Unfortunate Boyfriend Episode 1

The first episode of 'My Unfortunate Boyfriend" starts refreshingly with the scene of Yoon Tae Woon (played by No Min Woo) who plays as a handsome gardener, happily doing his job all around the garden. There are several hot scenes that reveal his body (although not really impressive, though :)).

Co lead actress, Yoo Ji Na (played by Yang Ji Sung), seems to get unlucky events when it comes to encounter Yoon Tae Woo, right on the 1st date of her interview. So I guess this is how the title of this drama is all about :). Every time she meets Yoon Tae Woon something unlucky will happen.

However, it was the help of  Yoon Tae Woo that Yoo Ji Na can get her promotional clip successful for the interview (they happen to work in the same company) . Contrary to Yoon Tae Woon's pure and naive character (he has deep love natural things such as spiders, feces and etc.) and , Yoo Ji Na is ambitious and a type of "doing everything to success", little sense of empathy. 

Another character is Hye Mi (played by Kwak Ji Min), she plays opposite Yoo Ji Na. While Yoo Ji Na is "a small town girl" coming to Seoul to pursue her career, Hye Mi comes from a rich family and maybe has a close relationship with Hee Chul ( played by Yoon Hak), the handsome director in the drama.

Hee Chul appears in the 1st episode as the attractive and successful director, the guy in every girl's dream (well, at least in that company), he was the one who interviewed Yoo Ji Na in the final round. I guess he may end up has a crush on her later.

The drama is all about all the funny and ironic events that happens between Yoon Tae Woo and Yoo Ji Na, the two main characters. Everything that Yoon Tae Woo does always cause Yoo Ji Na into troubles, or even utmost embarrassing situations.

Although from the first episode, we see nothing special about the lead actor Yoon Tae Woo except he is being simple and ridiculously naive, I sense the importance role that he does in the company.
Remember what the old ahjumma working there tell Ji Na about Tae Woon. The ahjumma say that Tae Woon is a man who has everything except a date DNA. Tae Woon's handsome but everyone thought there was something strange with all the actions. So that's the reason everyone called him as "Mr.Unfortunate." The ahjumma also warned that anyone who had a problem with it then something unlucky will befall him. And that makes Tae Woon survive in the company and no one dared to fire him as chairman who had a special taste to the same interest with Tae Woon.

There are several reasons for the Chairman to keep him working there and I hope we will find out in the next episodes.
 
Well, despite this drama in nothing too new to hope for (the plot of two opposite characters finally falling in love with each other), I enjoy (and laughing) with the humorous situation that happen between them.  The recaps of next episodes will be written soon, so please be patience and keep on watching!
