Deok-in (played by Kim Jeong-eun) is an ex-cop who quits her job to open up a small snack shop by the school after her son's death. Deok In was not only a former detective but was actually a member of the serious crime unit.
While shopping in the market Deok In finds and runschasing after the thief and successfully catches him. Deok-in is always taking action than just standing
around and hoping everything is going to resolve on its own.
Meanwhile, Choi Hong Ran a glamorous star and daughter-in-law of a rich chaebol family whose marriage is not happy. Her husband has an affair with her
brother's widow, Na Eun Soo.
One day, Deok In sees a bully scene in school, she steps in and beats up the bullies. Kang Jin Woo, the students' teacher show up, Jin-woo (played by Song Chang-ee) is a math teacher, assumes the bullying kids were picking on Deok In. Jin Woo apologizes to Deok In . One of the bullies, Kang Yoon Seo is his son who blames his father for his mother's death.
Hwang Gyeong Cheol is Deok In husband.Mama Hwang (Deok In's mother-in-law) realizes her son has a mistress. Gyeong Cheol tells her that he can't stand the sight of Deok In and that he never loves her.
Deok In finds out Yoon Seo's parents is Jin Woo.
