On the final episode of the SBS drama "Whisper", Jeong-il became the chairman of Taebaek. Dong-joon (Lee Sang-yoon) used Il-hwan's secret funds and did exactly as he did.
Yeong-joo was investigating the secret fund when she came to a standstill and Dong-joon hands her an account number. Yeong-joo worried about his safety but he said, "It's time I paid the price. It's time I pay for the mistake I made to your father". He volunteered to be bait.
When Dong-joon's wrongdoings came out, Soo-yeon thought he won. Soo-yeon told him she would give him the video of Jeong-il confessing to his murder. Soon after, Jeong-il learned that Yoo-taek (Kim Hong-pa) has been getting some of Il-hwan's secret funds. Jeong-il pressured Il-hwan with this. Taebaek would be ruined if the secret funds came out.
Il-hwan (Kim Kap-soo) stopped Soo-yeon from giving Dong-joon the video. In the end, Soo-yeon put Jeong-il down as the chairman of Taebaek once again and he proposed to her. He wanted to get married with her as they each knew their flaws.
Yeong-joo and Dong-joon wondered how the money laundering went on and started suspecting the church that Il-hwan's father owned. Il-hwan had been laundering money from the church and Soo-yeon's mother had been delivering them.
Yeong-joo arrested Soo-yeon's mother who suffered being in the small cell. Soo-yeon gave up Taebaek for her mother's sake and provided Yeong-joo with the video.
Yeong-joo headed to Taebaek to catch Jeong-il.
