On the latest episode of the KBS 2TV drama "Father is Strange", Byeon Hye-yeong (Lee Yu-ri) was furious when she found out Kim Yoo-joo (Lee Mi-do) was the one who bullied Byeon Mi-yeong (Jung So-min) back in school.
Byeon Hye-called called Kim Yoo-joo out for a talk. When Kim Yoo-joo smiled, she said, "You smile well. You know they say you can't spit on a smiling face. But I can. I am here as Mi-yeong's sister. Aren't you from the same school as her? You have to regret what you did. You need to apologize. I hope you understand what I mean by apologize".
"If my sister accepts your apology then I'll understand but if she doesn't then I will side with her. Why did you do that to my sister? Why were you such a bully? Why did you bully someone who gained weight because she was hurt and couldn't exercise?"
Kim Yoo-joo spoke honestly after a while, "I was jealous. I was jealous she had a father who made her lunch boxes".
"My mother and father got divorced and I lived with my step-mother who didn't treat me well. We didn't have enough money for school lunch, but I didn't want anyone to know what I was going through. However, rumors about me spread because of Mi-yeong and I didn't like her for that".
Byeon Hye-yeong still pointed out what was wrong and scolded her, "That's just taking revenge for your misery. Not everyone acts like you. I won't accept bullying in any case".
