The KBS drama "The Merchant: Gaekju 2015" is the story of Cheon Bong-sam (Jang Hyeok) who starts off as a market seller to become a successful merchant. On the episode of the 14th, Bong-sam almost met his sister So-rae (Park Eun-hye). They missed each other by just moments so he set out to find the carriage that she was riding in and mistook So-sa's (Han Chae-ah) carriage for his sister's.
Here, Bong-sam meets Seon-dol (Jeong Tae-woo) who he runs into while calling his sister's name. They almost get into a fight. Then when So-sa's carriage falls off a cliff, Bong-sam falls off with it and Seon-dol becomes shocked.
Seon-dol and Bong-sam reunite on the next episode. Seon-dol finds Bong-sam with So-sa's father who thanks Bong-sam. Seon-dol gets beaten up after telling the father than he should give So-sa to Bong-sam.
Seon-dol remains with Bong-sam and sticks around. He told Bong-sam off for not even holding the hand of the widow he saved then bleed through the nose as if he had perverted thoughts. Bong-sam laughed out loud and the two became buddies. Bong-sam couldn't go to sleep because he was thinking about So-sa and cooled down by lifting a rock up and down.
When it was time for them to part, they promised to meet again and exchanged shirts. It looks like the two are going to remain friends for a long time and create waves of synergy.
