Jang Deul-mok was investigating the Kim Chan-ki case with Kang So-joo (Seohyun).
Jang Deul-mok suddenly broke out a sweat in pain and Kang So-joo took care of him.
Kang So-joo watched him sleep on the bed and thought about times she had with him.
She said to herself, "I wanted to run away but here I am again".
She fell asleep with her head on the bed and Jang Deul-mok woke up to see her.
He tried to move her up to the bed but she woke up and he explained, "I thought you might be uncomfortable".
Kang So-joo said, "I'm hungry, let's have breakfast".
Jang Deul-mok said, "Did you try to leave because of me because I said mean things to you? I'm sorry. I want to say something else and I want to do what's really right for you. I will be your friend, your family. I will be someone who will always be next to you".
