Roo-ri almost got caught with Tae-yang by her father. She was afraid of her father so she rejected Tae-yang, but he told her where the contest was being held and that he'd wait. In the end, Roo-ri agreed to go with Tae-yang. However, her mother Hong Yeong-hye (Kim Mi-Sook) refused to let them because of Jeong Tae-yang's family history. Roo-ri told her that she wouldn't join the contest or meet him. ForRoo-ri, getting a job came first. Tae-yang told her she could get a job if she joined the contest.
In the end, Roo-ri prepared for the contest. She also got information from her ex-boyfriend Bong Myeong-tae (Lee Si-eon) about the SC chairman, Kevin Miller (Lee Jae-ryong). On the day of the contest, Roo-ri and Tae-yang faced Kevin Miller who is actually Tae-yang's real father.
