"Falsify" Episodes 29-30 recap

All things come to an end and this thankfully includes bad things. It is time for our heroes of "Falsify" to get some justice on behalf of those wronged and the already shaky team of villains is starting to lose its members. With the name of an elder being discovered and important decisions being made by pivotal characters, everything is ready for the finale, be it grand or realistic.
With Nam Kang-myeong (Lee Won-jong) gone, it is time to tackle the elders. Our first one explains why Jo Yeong-gi (Ryu Seung-soo) has not been disposed of, despite his incompetence. "Father dearest" is clearly in Min Yeong-ho's (Kim Jong-soo) list. My question is, do we know Seok-min's (Yoo Joon-sang) mysterious helper or is his hidden face another bluff? Could it be the officer who escaped Faith Center and could "we" be other children?

Speaking of expectations, "Falsify" sadly has one last moment of lazy writing when it comes to Nam Kang-myeong's initial escape and it does take away from my excitement for the these penultimate episodes. Despite our Team Good consisting of several groups with people of solid intelligence, it seems that no one is prepared to actually be in place for Nam's expected visit. The man can have a nice chat, waltz out and plan an attack uninhibited. As far as half-baked plot building goes, this is sadly a good example.
This complaint aside, the episodes have a lot of great moments. I have already expressed my admiration for a character like Tae-won's (Moon Sung-keun) wife, Seo Yeon-hee (Kim Ho-jung) being given focus and agency. These episodes bring us near the closure of her own story, which is consistent with the messages the drama has been delivering. Those who are privileged have the responsibility to acknowledge and fight against the injustices brought on by their privilege, even if they did not ask for it.

The episodes' solid moments do not end there, either. Seeing Im Ji-tae (Park Won-sang) go down is enjoyable and the camaraderie between our prosecutors is just as lovely. The conversation between Seok-min and Moo-yeong (Namgoong Min) is a great part, although our dear media jackal still carries more resentment for others than he does self-awareness. I suppose time and healing will let that catch up eventually.
With the finale coming up, I wonder how much closure we will get. I assume that Jo Yeong-gi and possibly his father will fall, along with Tae-won. However, will the rest of the officials follow or will "Falsify" go with the ever so realistic message, that one cannot win all the time? After all, the truth is a constant obligation, rather than something to achieve and be done with.
