When her family was about to go bankrupt and her father wanted her to marry someone she didn't know, Mi-yeon called Park Hyo-seop because she wanted to run away. Park Hyo-seop came to get her, but ran into her father (Choi Jae-sung) first. He told him that his daughter was going to marry into a rich family so she could have the luxury she used to have.
However, Lee Mi-yeon remembered things differently. She was waiting for Park Hyo-seop with her bags, but her father came in and said, "He's not coming. He called me to tell me to take you back home. He said he was annoyed that a girl from a run-down family keeps sticking to him".
Lee Mi-yeon didn't believe him, but he asked how he would've known she'd be there if Hyo-seop hadn't told him.
