tvN's "A Poem a Day" has comedy, fun and connection in a story that's like our daily lives. The first episode was geared towrds healing with Lee Yoo-bi heading up a solid cast.
Woo Bo-yeong (Lee Yoo-bi) and Sin Min-ho (Jang Dong-yoon) met on the first episode. Bo-yeong is a physical therapist who has plenty of sensitivity. Her dream is to become a permanent worker.
Min-ho and Kim Nam-woo (Shin Jae-ha) went to the hospital for practical training and they didn't get along from the start.
Bo-yeong currently finds great comfort in poetry and since she had been greatly touched by a poem. She fell for Min-ho when he read a poem. She told him she liked him but he said, "I was only pretending. I hate poems". The two floated in the same friend groups.
The next day, Bo-yeong was chosen as the 'nicest employee'. This was an advantage as it increased her chances of becoming a permanent worker and offered her three months in a university hospital in New York. She was excited about being chosen, but ended up in tears when the hospital had to re-select the nicest employee.
To cheer her up, the patients wrote her a poem. She felt comforted and Ye Jae-wook (Lee Joon-hyuk) watched her.
