[Drama Recap] EXO Next Door: Episode 13

Chanyeol and Yeon Hee continue their conversation, where they left off on the previous episode. Chanyeol can’t stand it anymore about how Yeon Hee doesn’t know about him.
Chanyeol: “Didn’t I ask you repeatedly if you knew me?”
Yeon Hee nods her head: “Yes.”
Chanyeol: “How did I know your name? Six years old. I even gave you a big hint many times. Don’t you know how to think?”
Yeon Hee keeps thinking about it: “One more clue, please.”
Chanyeol: “I am Chan! This was my grandpa’s house. I’m Park Chan!”
Yeon Hee thinks to herself: “EXO’s Chanyeol is my friend Chan?”

Yeon Hee’s mom and brother realize that Yeon Hee didn’t come home last night and wonders where she is. Baekhyun notices that Chanyeol stayed out all night and talks to Sehun and D.O. They all wonder where he is.

Yeon Hee falls asleep and sleeps on Chanyeol’s shoulder. He tries to wake her up and then her face turns red. They joke about their childhood memories and get close with each other. Yeon Hee’s mom asks Gaeun about Yeon Hee’s whereabouts. She replies that Yeon Hee was stressed and confused about the neighbors.

D.O. thinks that maybe Chanyeol was too stressed about songwriting. Baekhyun tells D.O. and Suho that he did mention to Chanyeol about Suho. D.O. says that Chanyeol thinks he’s responsible for Suho’s accident. Chanyeol must have felt bad and is having a hard time.

Chanyeol asks Yeon Hee if she likes Kai and if he’s ideal type. She responds with, “Of course not!” Chanyeol starts to smile when he hears her response. Yeon Hee’s brother Gwang Su calls Sehun and lets them know that Yeon Hee is missing.

Baekhyun thinks that it must be a coincidence that they both disappeared. D.O. thinks that they could have both gone somewhere together. Baekhyun thinks and asks D.O., “Like they ran away away together all night?”

D.O. feels gloomy just thinking about the possibility. Baekhyun tells him that it’s probably not true, since Chanyeol was always bullying Yeon Hee. D.O. feels that Chanyeol was especially weird around Yeon Hee like he was a school kid bullying a girl he likes. He gets mad and says that Chanyeol should have said something to them.

Yeon Hee falls asleep again on Chanyeol’s shoulder and he sleeps too. Gwang Su is looking for Yeon Hee on the streets. He thinks to himself that he needs to perfect his martial arts skills.

Chanyeol tells Yeon Hee that he doesn’t think it’s so bad being stuck in the basement with her. She wouldn’t have recognized him otherwise. Yeon Hee says that he could have told her, but he was having too much fun watching her.

He asks her how she could have forgotten him. She responds that he has changed so much and she could have never imagined he would become a universal star. She apologizes and they smile at each other.

The light bulb goes out and Yeon Hee gets scared. Chanyeol catches her fall and sees that she is wearing his grandpa’s necklace. He asks her why she has it.
