Jeong-ae then told Tae-soo, "The person who was in charge at the bank back then has something important. Jae-cheol had kept the records to Tae Hoo Group in a book. Tae-soo was faster than Ji-wan. He met Jae-cheol himself and said he wanted to recover the lost information of his company.

[Drama Recap] Make A Woman Cry: Episode 22

Deok-in's attempt to get a clear explanation of Jin-woo's behavior doesn't go that well. Part of the issue is just that Jin-woo doesn't want to tell her what's really going on, so he simply tells Deok-in about his emotional state instead.

This isn't really much more helpful- just because Jin-woo wants to see her even though he doesn't actually want to see her just means...what exactly? Other plot points are a bit easy to decode. Deok-in's mother is still a generally unpleasant person when she's not making a specific effort to act friendly. It's a fitting irony, really- when Deok-in's mother wasn't around, Deok-in felt bad about acting so mean. And now that Deok-in's mother is back, Deok-in can barely hold back her contempt. This reconciliation is looking to be a worse and worse idea all the time- and let us recall, that it was Jin-woo's idea to start out with. Bok-rye's attitude comes off a bit strange in this broader context. She was practically throwing hissy fits over the divorce plot- and yet she overaccomodates Deok-in's mother, and generally just refuses to stop being polite.

Maybe it's an age thing. The characterization in "Let the Girl Cry" has never needed to be particularly consistent. I'm sure we all know at least one person who acts like this in real life, after all. More straightforward drama is attained through Eun-soo, who appears to be gunning for the role of villain. It's hard to imagine that Eun-soo only reluctantly joined up with this household. Eun-soo seems to revile in just acting really mean to people, and I can't come up with any particularly good reason for this save for sheer spite. At least Kang-cheol had a clearly defined motive. There's not too much meaty material to dissect this episode, because "Let the Girl Cry" appears to be stalling when it comes to genuinely shattering revelations that have serious potential to upend the story.

The more I think about it the less convincing I find Jin-woo as a partner. The guy might be nice, but his tendencies towward conflict avoidance are getting to be rather severely unsatisfying- it's easy to see why Yoon-seo expends so much energy just trying to get a rile out of his father. And the very brief trip to the countryside that's noted mainly by a lack of a proper shave really just emphasizes how Jin-woo confuses self-reflection with character development.

[Drama Recap] Make A Woman Cry: Episode 21

What makes the action scenes in "Make A Woman Cry" feel odd is that, first and foremost, this is a family drama. It's been over a dozen episodes since Deok-in has ever fought anyone. It's one of the odder parts of her background as a cop. In a more conventional story this stuff would show up all the time.

But purporting as it does to be at least partially be a representation of real family life, "Let the Girl Cry" has to show much more restraint in this department. Beyond that there's just the obvious irony of Deok-in risking her to life to save Yoon-seo while being unaware of Yoon-seo's role in what happened to her son. It's an issue that Jin-woo in particular can't particuarly grasp, which is why he continues to drift away from Deok-in without explaining why.

Any character development on Yoon-seo's part is going to take a little longer to show up- although beyond the theatrics of the fight scene there's not too much explosive material. Conflict avoidance is generally the rule of the episode, as Hong-ran quickly returns to the house. Evidently writer Ha Cheong-ok realized that having Hong-ran out of the house made it difficult for her to interact with other characters. I've never been a very big fan of the rich family storyline, though, so any disappointment on that front is fairly muted.

It's just the usual petty infighting, with no major changes being prompted. Kyeong-cheol continues to be sympathetic. I really do have trouble hating the guy that much when the universe appears go take an excessive delight in just mocking him. Moments after Kyeong-cheol has finally resolved the big plot point that's made up most of the conflict in "Let the Girl Cry" up to this point, the man discovers he's been snookered as part of an elaborate scam. Really, the guy has a point. Isn't Kyeong-cheol a person too? The episode overall is relatively weak, though, precisely because so many important plot points are left in general vagary.

What little energy there is right now is dedicated to the question of whether or not Jin-woo is going to make a serious effort to resolve his differences with Deok-in. Given the wistful looks he keeps shooting over in the general direction of Deok-in's snack shop, it seems likely that something is going to have shake this relationship up. At least that's what I'm hoping.

[Drama Recap] Orange Marmalade: Episode 8

The eighth episode of the drama "Orange Marmalade, on 26th June reveals that something peculiar things are going to happen to Yeo Jin-goo.

"Orange Marmalade" is a KBS 2TV drama which time leaps to 300 years ago when humans and vampires came to a mutual agreement to co-existing in this world.

Yeo Jin-goo in the picture looks angry at someone and is holding him at the collars. He's also reading a note that came with an arrow with an unreadable expression on his face.

Yeo Jin-goo looks determined with the protective piece (to be kept from being bitten by vampires) in his hand, too. Jae-min apparently goes through a series of unexpected events and tension will be at its peak level this week.

Meanwhile on the seventh episode, Jeong Jae-min slowly overcame is fear of blood and claimed he was going to sit for the military examination.

Seolhyun cut her wrist to save Lee Jong-hyun. Lee Jong-hyun drank Seolhyun's blood and turned into a vampire. Si-hoo (Lee Jong-hyun) was bitten by a vampire and his life was at stake. Si-hoo went to see Ma-ri right before he would die.

He fell down in front of Ma-ri after she told her "I came to see you one last time". Ma-ri cut her wrist to save him. She fed him her blood. It was because the only way to save someone bitten by a vampire was to feed him vampire's blood. When Si-hoo woke up, he became angry to realize he became a vampire. Si-hoo asked Seolhyun, "Who are you? Are you also...".

In a somewhat confusing twist, it would appear that we're still not done with the Joseon portion of "Orange Marmalade". Lately I've found it more and more difficult to relate the Joseon phase to the high school part of the drama, and this turnabout doesn't make matters any different.

At this point "Orange Marmalade" legitimately appears to be a historical fantasy action thriller, with high stakes combat, political maneuvering and almost incidentally, a love triangle. The love triangle is somewhat fresher than usual this time around because the focus is on the young men rather than Ma-ri. Si-hoo directly insults Jae-min's masculinity, and the worst part is that Jae-min realizes that Si-hoo is probably right. With all this crazy vampire action going on back and forth, Jae-min simply doesn't have the luxury of goofing around with the arranged/love marriage conflict. He's only barely able to keep enough of a grasp on the situation to save Si-hoo. I should that it's a bit dubious to say that Si-hoo has really been "saved". He's not happy about what happens, although it's hard to tell which part makes him more angry.

The fact that Si-hoo has literally been transformed into that which he hates, or the realization that Ma-ri has been misleading both him and Jae-min this entire time. Of course, this still begs a lot of questions- like why the vampires would feel the need to go after Ma-ri when she herself is a vampire.

It certainly doesn't sound like this story is anywhere near to finishing does it? This is why the formatting of "Orange Marmalade" really confuses me at this point. As I understand it most of this material wasn't even in the webtoon anyway so I have no idea why it's taking over the entire drama, and making the high school story look more like an afterthought. As much as I loved the visuals of the high school portion, those really can't compare to epic vampire battles in terms of attention-grabbing. The funny part about all this is that epic vampire battles notwithstanding "Orange Marmalade" still has a very soft, almost dreamlike mood- it doesn't quite feel like a fusion costume drama.

Unfortunately this unworldly feeling isn't quite as much fun here as it was in the high school portion, mostly because the setting is now much more obviously fantastic and straightforward. In that light, more direct storytelling would probably be more engaging.

[Drama Recap] The Lover: Episode 12 (Final)

The tone for the final episode is a surprisingly somber one- there are very few jokes, just serious questions. Namely, does this relationship have any future?

Doesn't the very idea of living together without being married imply that this was always just going to be a temporary situation? The worst of it is that most of the crises are not prompted by actual relationship problems, but rather employment issues that would appear to make these relationships too inconvenient to continue over time. The Seol-eun / Hwan-jong conflict was the most surprising to me- as the couple always in the least focus, predictably we don't see them much here either. But whereas previous episodes portrayed Seol-eun's obnoxious testing behavior as a joke, here it's directly acknowledged that what Seol-eun does is borderline emotionally abusive. I was surprised

"The Lover" ended up taking such a serious route- that much rather belied the more silly antics that have characterized most of the drama's run. But that, I think, is the real theme here. That you can't judge the future of a relationship based on the presumed childishness of the moment- it's the characters attitudes toward adulthood that really matter. Take Yeong-joon. As the much younger lover of a woman in her thirties, Yeong-joon has always seemed like lackluster relationship material. But off-screen, Yeong-joon has taken his career very seriously- the young man is much more mature than he lets on.

Which only makes his final resolution with Jin-nyeo all the more heartwarming. Joon-jae and Takuya are never convincingly outed as gay. Which is fine by me- their story has always been a little weird compared to the other three, because as of the first episode Joon-jae and Takuya had never actually met. The closest they come to narrative relevance is with the idea that it can in fact be nice to live with another person, and share in their eccentricities, and consider their needs. Which come to think of it is more-or-less what being an unmarried live-in partner is all about. Part of me almost wishes that "The Lover" really had just gone to the dark side and given us the all-around gloomy ending that seemed to be foreshadowed for most of the runtime. By the end, though, I'd come to appreciate that the bigger message behind "The Lover" is that fear is what really makes or breaks a relationship.

How genuinely upset would you be about not seeing this other person again? While that's not an expression that's always easy to emote, to a genuine partner, that much can be made believable.

[Drama Recap] Splendid Politics: Episode 23

On the June 23rd episode of MBC's Monday & Tuesday drama, "Splendid Politics" showed Kang In-woo (Han Juwan), who was having hard time because he could not let go of Jeongmyeong (Lee Yeon-hee).

While Kang In-woo watching his father, who was preparing to deport army to Myeong behind Gwanghae's back, he became worried about Jeonmyeong's safety. Kang In-woo remembered the time Jeongmyeong returned the bracelet to him to make it clear she was rejecting his love. He talked to himself, "I'm still attached to her, how silly".

However, Kang In-woo still recollected what Kim Gae-si (Kim Yeo-jin) had told him, "I'll help you win Jeongmyeong's heart". He again blamed himself, "When will you ever stop behaving miserably".

[Drama Recap] High Society: Episode 6

On the 6th episode of SBS Monday & Tuesday drama, "High Society", Lim Ji-yeon found out that UEE was a daughter of chaebol.

Earlier on this day, Joon-gi informed a news reporter about Yoon-ha being a daughter in a chaebol family. Shortly after the incident, a news broke about Yoon-ha that the youngest daughter of Taejin Pacific Groupe was working as a part time employee in a food market. Ji-yi found out about this later through the news article.

When Ji-yi went on a date with Chang-soo, she said, "So Yoon-ha was a daughter from Taejin Group family". Chang-soo asked her, "You didn't known? I once had an arranged date with her". Ji-yi could not understand such an uncommon situation by the children from chaebol families. She flared up saying, "You people don't have any emotions. What's wrong with you".

[Drama Recap] Remember You: Episode 2

On the second episode of KBS 2TV's "Remember You", Lee Hyeon (Seo In-guk) heard a message left by Lee Joon-yeong (Do Kyeong-soo). Lee Hyeon returned to Korea to meet Lee Joon-yeong, who was his father's murderer and was the only one, who knew about his past when he used to be called "Monster".

When he came back to Korea, he recovered most of his memories little by little. When Lee Hyeon heard the recording of the conversation between Lee Joon-yeong and Lee Hyeon's father, he could recall the time when Lee Joon-yeong had turned around towards him and said 'Look, it's done as you wanted' after Lee Joon-yeong had killed Lee Hyeon's father. Later, he found a recording left by Lee Joon-yeong himself. The recording said, "Hyeon, do you remember this? I said I would be curious how you'd turn out when you grow up" and "By the time you hear this, I should already be right next to you". Lee Hyeon reacted to the message with such a bloodcurdling smile.

The chain of events that explains how Hyeon came into his present-day position as an eccentric professor are mostly clearly defined. His motivations are what's more difficult to grasp. In most dramas the death of a father and the disappearance of a younger brother would be the spur to a lifetime of seeking revenge. Yet bizarrely, Hyeon doesn't even seem to be taking these events all that personally. It's the psychology of motivation that keeps Kyeon engaged rather than any kind of emotional attachment. It's for this reason, and this reason alone, that Hyeon is willing to tolerate Ji-an's generally peskiness. Part of it is just that Hyeon likes showing off. I refuse to believe that the incident with the rolling chair was a mere coincidence. I strongly suspect that Hyeon deliberately placed it at the top of that ramp for the sole purpose of hoping that someone would try to get his attention and end up embarassing themselves by rolling all the way down to the bottom. Ji-an, for her part, as the well-matched trait of excessive persistence.

Hyeon won't go after his father's killer for the sake of revenge- and neither does Ji-an seem to care about getting back at Hyeon. Ji-an really just wants to solve the case, and she's smart enough to realize that Hyeon made important deductions about the crime scene which eluded her and the rest of the actual police squad. From an analytical perspective this all seems very inventive and fresh. So I'm at a bit of a loss as to why I still feel somewhat lukewarm about "Remember You". It might be an issue with the supporting cast. To this point they're all still mostly simple archetypes or ciphers. Part of this might just be their general proximity to Hyeon. Because Hyeon flips so many of the genre assumptions upside down, that makes people who want to find out what happened just for the sake of finding out what happened a little stale in comparison.

Even so, "Remember You" is still only just starting out, so I'm withholding serious judgment for the time being. Curiously enough, the characterization is so strong that I actually find the temporary case more intriguing than the larger mystery, just because it gives a better idea as to how Hyeon operates in terms of problem solving. And the more I think about it, the more difficult is is for me to guess how Hyeon and Ji-an can possibly pull off a convincing romance when they seem genuinely disinterested in anything that isn't some sort of solvable puzzle. That's something at least.

[Ratings] "High Society" is going upwards

According to Nielsen Korea, SBS drama "High Society" recorded 9.8%. This is 0.7% more than the previous episode.

MBC "Splendid Politics" recorded 10.7% which is a 0.9% drop from before.

KBS 2TV "Remember You" fell 0.9% to a recorded of 4.7%.

[Drama Recap] My Love Eun Dong: Episode 8

Jung Eun visualizes the past before her very eyes as the recent conversations with the employee at the university, Jae Ho, her mother, Eun Ho and most and above all herself overrun her mind. Nighttime isn’t easy for Eun Ho either since thoughts keep emerging to the surface. Back home, Jung Eun’s not her usual self and Jae Ho notices it. The next morning he went to meet Jung Eun’s father and informs him on the latest events and his emotional concerns. Stop dwelling in self-pity, Jae Ho, from what exactly are you protecting Jung Eun from? There was never a reason for her to be protected, especially from Eun Ho. Jung Eun’s father points out that Jae Ho has the strongest card which is no other than the fact Jung Eun, Ra Il and him are a family and that nobody can crack these bonds, especially now that lots of time has passed. Jae Ho thinks he’s the one who interfered in their relationship in the first place, but her father doesn’t have anything to say.
bscap0233Jung Eun appears at the clothing store and the previous owner’s attitude has already changed. She’s trying to take advantage of Eun Ho’s ideal working environment and she wants her nephew to start working there. Even though she got fired, once she checked her bank account she noticed that she has more money than expected and she calls Dong Gyu instantly, it’s a reward for her hard work. She’s thankful for everything, but at this very moment she’s unable to call Eun Ho.
bscap0235
bscap0236Inside a bookstore she finds A Dog of Flanders which is the book she used to read to her dying grandmother, but it’s also the book which beheld its own symbolism between Eun Ho and Eun Dong back in the days. Inevitably, a flashback scene pops up as memories find their way in Jung Eun’s mind and shortly after she notices an Eun Ho advertisement for Him & Me which was kind of cheesy, but it served its purpose well; I guess.
bscap0449
bscap0237Eun Ho’s constant victim when it comes to the thoughts of a married woman has to be his make-up artist and it’s one of these times! He doesn’t necessarily receive the answers he’s been craving for, but his friend could easily misinterpret his intentions as well! So he asks her directly that if he should give up on the woman he loves if she’s married to another man and the answer he receives is positive because it’s illegal and an act of infidelity! Their conversations are priceless and a ray of laughter amidst the cracks! He receives a message from Jung Eun asking him to eat with her and he instantly questions his friend about the meaning of such a message to receive the hilarious answer that it’s something people do when they’re hungry!
bscap0238Dong Gyu can’t believe that the previous owner fired Jung Eun to take advantage of the advanced payment conditions and orders her to make things right before Eun Ho finds out! Seo Ryeong pays a visit to Hyun Ah and she directly unveils her thoughts. She thinks Eun Ho’s been playing with fire lately, but it’s neither the first nor the last time he acts as an arsonist and a firefighter of his own emotions. It’s always about Eun Dong and Hyun Ah lets her know that she’s a special person to her brother. Seo Ryeong wants her to believe that something’s not right with him and lets her know that he bought the clothing store Eun Dong works at. Her strongest card is the fact that she’s married with a child, but Hyun Ah’s already aware of that and she’s burning all bridges or at least she thought so. Aware of her patient, she directly makes the whole scenery way more specific referring to the fact that Eun Dong’s husband is Jae Ho and she is suffering from amnesia due to a car accident. Seo Ryeong found the perfect ally by stepping on Hyun Ah’s humane side.
bscap0249Eun Ho returned back home and he doesn’t care about the military housemaid’s dinner since he can only think of the forthcoming time he will spend with Jung Eun! He doesn’t intend to leave her alone though, he’s got some evil plan! And the surprise dinner company of the military housemaid are Dong Gyu and Hyun Bal! It’s going to be an astonishing night! On top of that, they can’t avoid it since it’s Eun Ho’s order! At least the food is magnificent and soon the overall ambiance gets heated up! A new love blossoms between her and Hyun Bal!

bscap0262Mi Soon will prepare Jung Eun for tonight and she urges her to make her a piece of art. Mi Soon can’t help it but notice that something’s not right. It’s probably one of the few moments she ever had that much money to spend for herself. Once Mi Soon finds out that she’s doing all these preparations for Eun Ho she can’t believe her ears! Jung Eun eventually bursts into tears since she can’t explain what’s going on in her mind and in heart, all she wants from her friend is to make her look pretty without having to talk about anything.
bscap0261
bscap0272Jung Eun walks in and she’s such a sight to Eun Ho’s eyes! I loved Jung Eun’s majestic simplicity in her stare the moment she walked in leaving Eun Ho stunned! Due to the money she received, she wanted to treat Eun Ho properly. Eun Ho becomes aware that Jung Eun got fired and that she already started trying to find a new job when it comes to publishing. She will start working next week making Eun Ho wonder what happened to her dream which was to become a writer making Jung Eun wonder how could he ever know such information. The answer to her question is easy, he can read through her heart’s lines, but he unveils his source of information who is no other than Dong Gyu!
bscap0279I love their emotional contrast with Eun Ho being quite calm yet enamored while Jung Eun’s emotional tension can’t really remain hidden. Eun Ho points out that Jung Eun may had been thinking about things that shouldn’t be discovered and as always, he’s spot on. She would like him to eat properly and take good care of himself as Eun Ho wouldn’t like her to start working for the publishing company since he intends to help her. It’s always about fate and he refers to Eun Dong’s dream of becoming a writer and the insightful ending she conceived of A Dog of Flanders. Jung Eun loved watching Eun Ho’s drama and she would like to write about something inspiring herself with Eun Ho urging her to write about her first love.
bscap0288It’s something she can’t do for the time being since her mind is devoid of memories and Eun Ho would like her to think of him as her first love. Things had already started getting emotionally fortified and she manages to escape for a while until she finds some peace of mind. Jung Eun’s husband’s not aware of her meeting him and Eun Ho wants her to keep it a secret, but she doesn’t intend to do so making Eun Ho be at loss for words. Seo Ryeong’s sex toy was waiting for them to appear in front of the restaurant and managed to get a few shots.
bscap0297Inside the car, Jung Eun would like to know why Eun Ho can’t forget Eun Dong and he pulls over the car. Sleeping with her, it’s something he can’t forget. It was during their trip when we witnessed them inside the bus where she reminded him of their song. Asking her if she remembers didn’t have only a recording-oriented essence, it possessed an internal grandeur of its own. Jung Eun is at loss for words, but Eun Ho emphasizes on her already knowing things he never mentioned, so that much information shouldn’t be confusing her by now. He invests in more details and Jung Eun doesn’t want to listen to what he has to say, but he does refer to everything they treasured entwined during these 2 days with Eun Dong disappearing on the third one. So many simplistic yet powerful lines in a row but the stronghold of his pounding heart echoes as he urges her to find Eun Dong for him.
bscap0320Eun Ho could finally erupt once Jung Eun wants him to remain patient, but he can’t do that since she’s already married with a child and on top of that, she can’t remember him. They can barely prevent the tears from falling and once Jung Eun starts leaving Eun Ho would like her to stay a bit longer with him and she would like to go somewhere with him the next time he won’t be filming. Once again, he has another request, he doesn’t want her to sleep with her husband tonight, but she can’t comply. Eun Ho can only watch her leave for one more time.
bscap0321Jae Ho had been waiting for her and Jung Eun just returned back home, but she’s not in the mood for anything either. Jae Ho doesn’t feel comfortable since she met Eun Ho even though he told her not to do so and she wants to know the reason why he wanted to prevent her from meeting him since it doesn’t make sense him being afraid of Eun Ho being interested in an ahjumma in her 30s with a husband and a child. Once again she doesn’t receive any proper answer and he refers to Ra Il and that she should take him into consideration, but Jung Eun can’t hold back and asks him if he knew who Eun Dong was and why he pretended he didn’t know. She really can’t believe nobody ever dared to tell her the truth about the past even at the cost of finding her pitiful due to her memory loss, but Jae Ho points out there is no meaning in that since it’s all over and he puts all the blame on her for being this way all this time. She wants know everything Jae Ho knows, especially when it comes to love’s vicious playground as she wonders if Eun Ho’s book is filled with lies. Jae Ho questions her which one she’d wish it was a lie, the book or the life she was living through everything other people told her, but this is the end of their conversation since both of them are broken.
bscap0332Eun Ho was in solitude and he couldn’t hold back but send Jung Eun a message which was read by Jae Ho in her absence and eventually it got deleted by him in his own discomfort. Eun Ho arrives at the company and wants to talk to Dong Gyu who’s astonished by the fact that Jung Eun simply accepted the money they deposited in her account and tries to deliver a deeper meaning to her actions, it’s something that tires Eun Ho big time. On top of that, he’s enraged by the clothing store owner who fired Jung Eun and he wants Dong Gyu to fire her!
bscap0338It’s something that eventually happened and Jung Eun’s back at work with the previous owner trying to make her own assumptions on age, body and beauty parameters as to why she got fired instead of Jung Eun! Eun Ho messages Jung Eun and asks her why she ignored his message last night, but she tells him she never received anything and he calls her right away since he doesn’t believe her and for ignoring his text as well! Eun Ho wants to eat with her and he does it in his own way since he was filming and both of them exchanged pictures of their food to feel closer together making everyone around him wonder since when was he uploading photos to SNS or taking selcas! He feels like a child again and Jung Eun as well in a way, but she’s more thoughtful.
bscap0350Jae Ho’s going through his own struggle and the outcome is positive. His condition can only get better and he always has by his side Hyun Ah who urges him to try to try the electric bicycle. The first hints of noble idiocy have already started popping up as Hyun Ah wants him to recover as fast as possible in order to protect Jung Eun from Eun Ho’s villainous love; okay. A girl named Oh Nan Shil (is she the same actress who was Seo Noo Ri’s colleague in Heard It Through the Grapevine?) would like Hyun Bal to audition her and he takes her effort in seeing him into consideration. She can pretend as if she was speaking French and she’s giving it a priceless shot somewhere between English with French accent, generic French and Korean! She can draw well and she can sing also, but it doesn’t seem like Hyun Bal was pleased.
bscap0356Jung Eun met her mother who’s trying to avoid any conversation referring to the past and she starts talking about Ra Il, but Jung Eun is very specific on what she wants to talk about. She’s thankful for being raised with care by her throughout the years and even though she wasn’t her biological mother she sees her this way. Her mother would like to know how much she knows and Jung Eun refers to herself as Eun Dong, the girl Eun Ho was searching for all these years. She wants her mother to help her since she’s the only who could do so. Eun Dong states that she wants to start anew from that moment, the day before the accident, the day Hyeon Soo was waiting for her. When she stares at Eun Ho her heart trembles and asks her mother if she should be more honest in front of her in order to convince her that’s she’s more than serious this time.
 bscap0358bscap0357bscap0211 bscap0212bscap0213bscap0364
bscap0366Eun Ho stares at the picture of Ra Il. He asks Dong Gyu if he knows Jung Eun’s exact schedule and he lets him know that she must be working at the clothing store by now and there he is! He wants her to follow him so that they’ll eat together but she resists since she has work to do and right before leaving a customer appeared and Jung Eun hid him inside the changing room! He opens the door to stare at her and she urges him to close it back anew so that he will go unnoticed! By the moment the customer leaves Jung Eun informs him about it, but there was no response. Once she opened the door the hand of love pulled her inside! Boom, it’s kabedon time!
He keeps staring at her face to face as she tries to avoid his stare and as he lets her know that she’s not scared because Eun Dong was like that as well, unafraid of everything when she was with him and that’s the reason why she doesn’t have to be afraid of anything. Jung Eun’s not afraid of him, she’s afraid of herself and she tries to leave, but Eun Ho prevents her and asks her if she knows who she is and if she understands how much does Eun Dong mean to him. It’s the first time he refers to her directly as Eun Dong and time stands still between them; until a customer arrives.
Eun Ho helps her with her work and she’s curious if he ever dated a woman after he got separated from Eun Dong. It’s something he never did because it felt like Eun Dong would do the same and just like he didn’t date anyone else he didn’t want Eun Dong to see another man as well. Until he listens to the whole truth from Eun Dong’s lips he’s not going to make any assumptions. The answer to why he thought she would never see another man gets him hilariously enraged as he throws up in the air everything she had been packing! He wants to take her to the place she wanted to visit with him but she’s negative since there is more work to do! Eun Ho says that the owner is his friend and takes her with him!
bscap0394That place is no other than the park where they first kissed outside of the cinema. They revisit the emotionally fortified awkwardness of the moment with their hands leaning towards the same direction. Eventually they reach their destination as they’re walking hand in hand towards the spot where the legendary phone booth used to be. Once he tells her that the hand he’s holding at this very moment was his ten years ago both of them smile at each other and i caught myself wishing for the rain to make its appearance!
